Though I'm far from a proffesional on these, the skull and the SS tab look alright to me from what I can compare on this forum that are judged original. Lets see what the others think.
They look brand new to me.
Thanks for the info so far guys - it's true they do look a little new, but they could also be unissued I guess. Does anyone know from the look of them if they're period pattern/style?

Original items can indeed appear unused, if they are.
We have lots and lots of real SS insignia here.
Do yourself a favor and spend sometime looking at it.
Real SS insignia in the actual world is very rare and found in a few reliable places.
The reproductions are the norm, and that's what you have enclosed.

Notice especially the Leimleinen core of the collar patches, its color and appearance.

Look also at all the Delich treasure sticky threads we have here. These include a lot of real insignia.
