Hi guys,
make sure you get the october auction catalogue from Hermann Historica over here in Germany. It comes with a great booklet with the ss items that the late British drummer Michael Butler collected. Really great for reference!
Cheers,
Pieter

Hi Pieter, I have not seen this booklet, but let me say a word of potential caution. I don't like to speak ill of the dead, but this man was a notorious faker.
Cheers, Ade.
Hi Pieter,
I must agree with Adrian. Even earlier this year, I was offered an "original silver plate from the Fuhrerbunker" from this source. I looked at the item and as soon as I showed some doubt, I was offered another one. They probably have a box full somewhere...
Regards
Carl
Do you mean Hermann is a faker or the late Michael Butler?
Andrew Mollo wrote in the booklet that he helped Butlers daughter sorting out his stuff. I would assume no pictures of fake items would end up in the catalogue without Mollo (or Hermann) noticing it.
Sadly Mike was well known for making fake items.
I would hope all the items in the auction are original. Mr Mollo knows his stuff.
Cheers, Ade.
What band did he play in Ade? never heard of him before
No idea about his music history to be honest? I will have to ask around. I know some of his former friends.
He was very skilled at making things.
Cheers, Ade.
found on another site about the Michael Butler Collection
" I have heard that everything in the auction has been authenticated both by Andrew Mollo and the auction house Hermann Historica.
There are some very rare items indeed ie once belonging to Heinrich Himmler
as well as some very nice insignia .
Thats all i know for now."

Yes, the items in the booklet and the major catalogue are truely amazing. Not to many doctor/sanitäter-related items unfortunately :-(
Cheers,
Pieter
Hi Ben, it turns out he was a session drummer, but had lessons from Jazz legend Joe Morrrelo.
It is worth registering with HH if you have not already just to see the lots listed. Some nice stuff. Much of it came from Mollo in the first place as he bought his collection. So Mollo knew where it all came from!
Cheers, Ade.
