Save your money. The eagle shown at the beginning of this post is NOT an original BeVo sleeve eagle.
Here are two examples of the very same eagle.
One sewn on a tunic with a field grey backing and the other sewn on to a black piece of cloth. These have been making the rounds for a few years now and always come sewn onto a piece of cloth so you can't see the back which is shown below.
Here's another fake which is even a little better I believe.

The original adlers seem slightly slimmer. Modern repros have the option of dining at McDonald's so that could explain why they are often fatter in appearance.
Seriously though, I have noticed how the beak is more curved on the originals, only slightly but noticable nonetheless.

The lines on the neck of the original seem to form some subtle elongated runes as against purely straight lines on the fakes. So what happens when the fakers alter the patterns to catch even this nuance? This stuff is scary!
