Forgive me for splitting hairs, but you must have an update of Whammond's site that I do not.
In any case, the issue is simple: if you want our opinion, and some of us have given thousands of such opinions, a better image is needed here.
Thanks, and over and out.
If you are going to spend the price of one of these things, and Whammond is never a bargain, then it is incumbent on you to do your due diligence.
The work we provide here is uncompensated and unloved, that is for sure.

Let me repeat for the record, that I hold Whammond in very high esteem.
It is not my job to endorse dealers, just as it is not my job to endorse collectors, but in this case, I am happy to do so.
I have been a witness to his vetting process many times and in detail.

The title of this thread, "blank SS..." is confused with black SS tunic. I presume blank connotes the absence of insignia.
In any case, thanks to Bob Coleman for his intervention. I esteem his views very highly.
My friend David Delich works closely with Whammond to vet material on Collector's Guild.
I have been a witness to these inquiries to the benefit of collectors, and salute them.
I do not collect field grey blouses and tunics, not the least because of the ceaseless issues associated with them.
Good luck.

Do let me ask you: are these images appropriate for the task?
Very wise words!
