Here's another little guy that ended up as an SS mascot; 5 year old Alex Kurzem, a Russian Jew. He now lives in Australia.

A poignant reminder of "Hitler's children" which is also the title of a very interesting TV documentary. Take note of the last episode with the all the Tropical gear being worn by kid POWs at the bitter end.
