Eicke was passing along a complaint from Loritz. Interestingly, the complaint was that the men of the Übungslager, being mostly older men, were prone to drinking and their public behaviour, if both groups were both wearing the same badges, reflected badly on the men of the concentration camp.

Indeed, especially for the (almost) comical touch to it. So the concentration camp guards were worried that their reputation might suffer. Go figure.
