I am also skeptical of the stamps, as well.

The authentic kepis with the runics in the Muetzenboden looked differently than this piece.

Here is a piece sold by Stezelberger which I thought was likely authentic.

D'Alquen, Hritz and Coleman all are experts in this material.

I like that old orange linnin lining, the stamp looks good to me.. I saw another with a VASSERXXX ? stamp " WATERPROOF?

Some other objects in my Schreckenskammer of old images.

The top piece was illustrated in the Pia book in the 1970s and then sold here locally with little interest, oddly. I should have bought it, as it was quite inexpensive.

The other cap is the Stezelberger piece after it was restored.
