Much kerfuffle unfolds in spaces as concerns the untouched item.
Reality as well as experience suggests that items get touched and one can repair them back to an originals state or not.
Or insist on the piece that is completely untouched.
In the first case, I bought a uniform ensemble in which the seller misled me that the thing was whole, when the shoulder board was extracted, somehow, somewhere.
It took me two years to find a shoulder board.
In the second case, an otherwise perfect, early and rare black tunic had a fake brassard, which I have replaced with a brassard of the same date as the tunic courtesy of Bob Coleman,
whom I thank.

Friedrich - Here is another reason why this forum and members like Bob Coleman are exquisite ! Where else would you get a perfect brassard?
