What is a HVAC ?

In UK it means Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning
I collect, therefore I am.
Nothing in science can explain how consciousness arose from matter.

UPDATE.
This group has now been sold to a collector in New Jersey. Here is the uniform and cap alongside the ones of the US 2nd Infantry Division vet.
It's a shame that Devin couldn't be bothered to update or thank us himself, especially after all the help he received here.
That's the way it goes though, money is king, not good manners and there was an awful lot of money involved here.
This kind of thing does not surprise me at all.
In the man's defense, the money offered was likely far greater than young Devin normally encounters.
The absence of thanks generally happens far too often. Our expertise is greatly discounted.
And yet precisely our expertise, had no where else, adds value to these items.

Everyone should read Adrian's thread posted here:
https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/discu...ervice-167263/
What Adrian missed out is that you don't just get free authentication and valuation, you get free advertising as well!
It's takes no effort at all to say thank you.
And in this particular situation and regarding the substantial amount of money involved, a donation to the forum would be the right thing to do IMO.

Re: Found This SS Uniform in an ATTIC!!
It's a shame that the good nature of the members here is taken advantage of in this manner and this isn't the first or last case I'm sure.
This thread alone has given the OP a solid base of provenance and more information than I dare say he would've been able to find out alone and which has enabled him to make a considerable amount of money for nothing.
And the reward for all the contributing members assistance, time, knowledge and interest has been a big fat nothing.
No word of thanks, no update out of courtesy, just a huge amount of money which members here have helped the individual achieve and I'm sure very satisfied grin.
Good luck to you Devin, if this is the way you conduct yourself, I'm sure you're going to need it.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
