Help is needed please.

These two items are up for sale locally and seeing as I know squat about SS items I was hoping one of you could please tell me if they are good or not. I think the eagle is good, but have no idea about the Lt. rank for camo uniforms. Thank you.

Hi Tom, the tropical sleeve eagle looks fine.

I cannot really comment on the printed rank insignia with any kind of authority: I just don't have the experience with them.

I thought the eagle was good. Also have never seen one of these rank insignia before except in books.

Hi Tom, I have handled a few of these printed insignias over the years. But not enough to form a solid opinion about them in general. Some were certainly bad, being sold as such or worn by re-enactor friends. Others, I was told, were original. They have been faked for years now, being so easy to produce. If you twisted my arm for an opinion on this one, I would learn more towards it being good than bad. But I would not advise you to buy on the strength of my opinion on this one. I hope that is a fair answer. I don't like giving opinions unless I am 100% sure in my own mind.
