Hi Ado, while Mametz is correct in what he is saying, here in England we have a saying. "It's not what you know, but who you know". A good friend of mine has compiled a database of SS-ZA numbers taken directly from SS personel files. I will ask if he has this number listed.
Cheers, Ade.
Adrian would you ask your friend if he has anything on SS-ZA number 11782
Regards
Mametz
I will happily do that for you.
Cheers, Ade.
Thank you Ade, that would be greatly appreciated.
All the respect
Ado
These pins. Do they always have a number at the back? My friend has one with a blank back, and I've seen one being sold for over 300 dollars, also with a blank back
Welcome to the forum!
A blank reverse would be a fake. They were ALWAYS maker marked and serial number. Price advertised at or even sold, does not make it real.
Cheers, Ade.
Had good advice? Saved money? Why not become a Gold Club Member, just hit the green "Join WRF Club" tab at the top of the page and help support the forum!
This is a textbook piece at a fair price IMO.
authentic pieces will always be marked for either Hoffstätter of Bonn or for the firm of Gahr (scarce)
William Kramer
Do all originals have the marking Ges.gesh after manufacturer name as seen in images above or do originals also have just the manufacturer name w/out the Ges.gesh with S# as seen on this SS stick pin?
