here mine cyphers they haven't perfect border as the above example but, anyway, they have great definition
rear, from the little part i can see, have thin border and a little darker colour. no blue-grey-black colour.

There is very little silver left on the nco cypher as most of the finish seems
to have worn over time leaving the copal although there are traces
to be found on the horizontals across the
LAH.
Any further thoughts from all welcome.

YES, The finish could be a GOOD justification for bad details. Did you check a bit the reverse side?
Reverse is good and consistent with
Original die struck cypher, again dimensions are good
and edging thickness of cypher is even.
Have had it off the Board but dont want to push my luck bending
The pins more than i have too.
