I'm really enjoying this coat and I belive this will be right the first blackie of a long new passion.
I collect since 1987 till now only Waffen SS and SS VT militaria (Fieldgray) and this is the first black VT item I own.I love it.

Treat yourself to "Cloth Insignia of the SS" by Jack Angolia and all the 6 volumes of the works by Andrew Mollo. These are required reading on what is a very broad subject. All are sadly out of print but are worth the investment.
