My First SS Black-top EM/NCO Visor

Article about: I present my first SS black visor which arrived yesterday. It's a 1938-39 model visor by Kornacker, for use with the black service tunic. The cap is in exquisite condition with minimal wear.

I can't stop tinkering with my new display so I added a few skulls and books into the mix.....

My new cap stand arrived, it supports the cap around the sweatband without putting stress on the crown and it looks great !

That looks like a stand from my friend Skipper. I have a bunch of his stands, although mostly the simpler models because I need a bunch and had to economize on per-unit cost a bit.

Yes it is Todd, thanks to one of your posts I looked him up and had this made. This one was a bit expensive because of the custom color and etching and cedar for the stretcher shaper. I figured I should not cut corners on such an expensive cap, and I only needed one
Skipper is a great guy, friendly and reliable. i recommend him highly. Thanks, Al

Good deal Al. Skipper and his wife Gabby are great. They set up at SOS and the MAX.

Hello gentlemen, this seemed like the right place to post this question. Im in the marked for my first allgemeine visor cap and have a concern about the insignia I've seen on the caps currently on the market. I've been told most of the caps around have have the insignia removed swapped and so on. Is this factual? What do you guys look for as far as if the insignia has been messed with? And does that seriously affect the value of the cap? Thank you for your time. Mike.
