Aha, so this cap found a home with you! I thought of buying it, in fact. The cap badges prove the lie of the "matched set" In reality, many of the Totenschaedel were very neusilber in appearance. Well done. A rare cap in perfect shape from a rare maker, which is besides the point. I like these early caps very much, really. Thanks again.

Another similar tag of the Fa. Breiter. My little family...My little family...

This cap got a 1935/6 Hoheitszeichen and no one has polished the Totenschaedel, nor will they in this household.

Whamond has two caps of this type in much worse condition for sale at staggering prices.

    Thanks Friedrich !

"Cleaned" neusilber RZM 52 skull, but nevertheless a nice patina !

And you know it... I'm a "Mint-Maniac" the cap itself is an unissued "beauty" with double RZM tag !

Well done. I seriously thought of buying the same cap but am glad it has a fine home. I guess the cleaning of the badges is a matter of taste. I leave them be.

Pascal, could you please show some more pictures of the marvelous cap in post #19 if it is not too much trouble? It is stunning. Thank you ten times over for these illuminating images. And of course the usual thanks to F-B and all the others who allow us to learn from their fine originals.
