Need Help on Authenticating and Valuing SS Cufftitles and Shoulder Boards

Article about: Picker friend of mine found these and is looking to sell. Everything looks authentic, however I'm a bit of a novice. Annoyed from this ads?   Like to get an idea of value as well. Looke

By the way, I spoke with the seller and come to find out these are all bring-backs that belong to the 101st vet whose grouping I purchased. This was a large estate and they are still digging through boxes, hence why these just surfaced.

    WWII 101st Airborne Grouping

I wish I could purchase all of these bring-backs to keep with the group, however they are way beyond my means. Hoping to at least pickup 1 or 2 items to keep with the group, though.

Some additional close-ups of the collar tab and shoulder straps. More photos of the cufftitles to come today. I plan on taking a look at these in person later this week. I'll take some better photos in natural light.

Seller has asked me to assist in their sale, so they may be available on the forum depending on which route they decide to go (find 1 or 2 buyers for the lot vs selling piecemeal).

The cuff title reads Fuhrerhauptquartier, I believe these were worn by staff and guard battalions assigned to Fuhrer Head Quarters.

Thanks, Duska! This would make sense since the the soldier was attached to the 501st.

    From Mark Bando's website:

    Souvenirs

Members of the 501 PIR found a whole trunkload of these hand embroidered bullion cufftitles in the Obersalzberg area in 1945. They were worn by the German Army's escort/bodyguard detachment for Adolf Hitler, The Fuhrer Escort Brigade (Fuhrer Begleit Brigade), commanded by Fritz Rehmer. This unit was also an armored brigade, which rotated troops to and from the front lines in order to allow them the chance to be decorated. When at the front, this unit usually served with the Grossdeutschland Panzer Korps. Unlike other Army cuffbands, this one was worn on the left sleeve, like SS bands, with a Grossdeutschland band worn at the same time on the right cuff. Like the LAH, these troops escorted Hitler in his travels and there was a detachment of them at each of his headquarters.

Just looked at the price of the cuff title on the internet, if they all turn out to be ok, your friend has won the Lottery.
