Simply stunning uniform. Named the "Weisse dienstrock" if I am not mistaken.

The term was "SS Dienstrock" with the textile and color so detailed. No "M32" or anything remotely like it. The collector argot confuses the already confused collector even more. Read primary sources.

Neither of these tags are from such a garment, however, but they reinforce the actual terms used at the time versus the fantasy, in-group and baby-talk nouns that pollute collector websites, and whose lack of precision confuse innocent people. This issue is so bad that the Germans today begin to use this kind of of Orwellian newspeak to the harm of all. The brown tag is from a black SS tunic, even though it is contrary to regulation.

I whole hearted agree with FB's comments. I am taking out the "M32" from the title of the thread. I will leave it is the original post though so people reading this will know what we are talking about.

    Cheers, Ade.

Unfortunately, the text posted above by Friedrich-Berthold is not complete (it ends with "continued on page 364") but it does have some information which should be of general interest here.
Allow me to provide a translation:

    "White Service Tunic for SS-Officers
Manufacture only permitted as fully bespoke tailoring

General information: The white SS tunic can be worn by all SS officers in the period from 1 April through 30 September together with long trousers or breeches (boot-cut trousers).

The black or white SS service cap is worn with the white summer tunic.

The dagger or sword are to be worn on the suspension device from out of the side pocket. Under no condition are they to be worn from an external belt.

The white tunic is worn with the following insignia:

    1 shoulder board
    screw-on collar patches
    brassard
    1 cuff title*)

All other insignia, including the collar cord edging, are omitted. Sports Badges, ribbon bar etc. are to affixed as on the black SS service tunic.

Basecloth: White summer-weight tunic cloth according to
Reichszeugmeisterei specifications or white piqué, non-standardized.

Pattern: In terms of pattern, cut and external features, the white service tunic for SS officers matches the black SS service tunic. The SS tunic is single-breasted and is closed with four buttons and buttonholes. The breast pockets with outward-facing pleats are sewed on and are fitted with scalloped pocket flaps. The side pockets are placed internally in a sloping way; the flaps are scalloped and, like those of the breast pockets, made to be buttoned. The lower button is located at the waistline, the top one is level with the breast pocket buttons. The

*) In reality, many different combinations of insignia were worn on the white tunic. Period photographs show it worn with the Swastika brassard, or with a sleeve eagle or without either. Sometimes a single shoulder board was worn, sometimes a pair. Sometimes a cuff title was worn, sometimes not...
