I'm thinking of selling this fine SS display. Please PM or email me at mseagle5667@charter.net if you have any interest before it's sent off for consignment with a dealer. I would like it to go to one of our members first.

    Thanks,

    Mark

Very nice ensemble, nicely photographed. We hope the sale is because you found something even better.

Good luck with the sale MS. Great to see such items in circulation!
There is a poetic justice about this tunic and its provenence... surviving the war, spending years in captivity in Russian filmarchive where it was put to work ingloriously, and surviving that to be repatriated to the west. Unfortunately, it cannot tell its owner's story but I dont think its needs to. It wears its heart on its sleeve. I hope that the new owner will continue to share its mysteries with us. Regards, Paul

it's really extremely rare to see a black tunic with russian stamps without sign of stripping insigna. usually tags were removed, often also buttons. A great tunic!

Russian silver fox?? Wow...very nice indeed! Would have bought many a goody for You, but I'm sure you will reap plenty of benefit from it nonetheless! lol

Thanks Wagriff, The silver-fox brought no other benefit but warm for Tatiana. It's hard to comprehend, Tatiana has asked her family members to keep an eye out for third reich items for which I will pay very good money for. Even to this day they are scared of having any association .

Whilst here, can I ask, Could a tunic exhibit TK collar tabs (arabic 1) with a Thuringen cuff title? Maybe Oberbayern proud and retaining original tab whilst serving in Thuringen?
