The booklet is now also a fake ...

And WOSKE trust me I can separate well from printed Sign. or whats so ever you think about it.
I also wonder how you can be able to judge this from the photo taken behind glass. The sign. is absolute original
and I looked to it close and also compared it well with other known Signatures from Eicke.

So guys I have enough from this level of smartness on this Forum, GOOD bye.

    Robert,
I'm not sure what you mean by "the booklet is now also a fake." ???
Anyway, I do think it's a great pity that someone leaves a forum just because an opinion differs from theirs. If you post something on a forum, you must expect that people will comment upon it and not everything is guaranteed to be positive. Yes, I am questioning your assessment of the Eicke signature and yes, I do believe it not to be handwritten. Your withdrawal from the forum because someone has the temerity to question your expertise leaves a lot to the imagination. Wouldn't it be easier to post some good quality close-up images of the signature or even arrange for it to be submitted for tests? I have already said that I think the signature is either stamped or printed, but I would alter that assessment and admit I am wrong if you could provide acceptable evidence to the contrary. So far all you have done is state "I know better than you" and then withdraw from the debate. If you can't do better than that, I agree that I am sorry you are leaving, but reputations are built and maintained of stronger stuff.
    Regretfully,
    Woske.

Here is another form in which this well known Eicke portrait appeared as a postcard.

Shame to leave over a difference of opinion.
Robert H is an important member of this site with many fine things to offer us. The differences of opinion here should be handled in a polite manner so as to accommodate the inevitable frictions. The tendency here is to escalate things in a needless and senseless manner, which would be less likely in a face to face exchange. In the end, we are all losers. This phenomenon has surely harmed my own interest in this site, which I have worked hard to built with little reward in return. On the other hand, I will mention that the proprietors have been swift to expel trouble makers more so than on the more popular sites, which have risen and fallen with great speed because of cyber bullying and the other stupid and destructive phenomena of the 21st century.
If you care about regalia and want to learn more, then the burden is on you to behave in such a way---despite all the discipline it might require--to make others express themselves, share material, and perhaps even learn. Such is perhaps a bridge too far for many, and ever more so it is a bridge too far for me, because the effort required is no longer compensated by the echo from out there.
Thus, I hope that Robert will stay and also those of you who disagree can do so in a polite and productive manner, since such disagreements are a normal and necessary part of how we all learn about the past. If, in fact, that is what you want......
Postscriptum: the foregoing is not meant as a criticism of anyone in particular in this thread, but as a general observation.

Thanks. There is no single explanation for the past. There is not an easy, comfortable, pleasant or even simple use of the past, and its evidence. The Nazis themselves were confused by their regalia, and did not even know the proper badge to wear or how to make the cap properly. How can you and I figure it out then if the people then did not know, even if they appear to have had rules which then were not really followed---except you think so because you saw "Triumph of the Will?" Were you there? Did you work in the agency that made the rules and enforced them? You were born in 1968, weren't you. How many of you have read more than five books with small print on national socialism, German society, the inner workings of German political, social and military institutions beyond the glossy collector works?

What is a true pain in the a%% is, however, the on line demagogue and ruler maker who acts as if he has figured out something that confused the contemporaries and then, in turn, lords it over all of us with a check list or some oracle like pronouncements which are simply hog wash. The latter is a particular peeve of mine, truth be said, which is made worse by the bad manners that operate on websites. I was just in the Hitler and the Germans exhibit in Berlin and I can tell you that this stuff continues to confound and confuse lots of people who are at a loss to establish its meaning. That these sites have degraded into its "fake or real" circus, the whole things becomes far less interesting and meaningful. I can well understand Robert's sensitivity in this regard, but surely these signatures and photos are a source of endless friction and have always been thus.
Fake signatures are a landmine, as are the Waffen SS peaked caps and so much more that seizes popular taste.
My goal is to learn more, and attract more meaningful material and maybe in the second instance secure something for myself, but I have mostly given ip collecting if for no other reason that these websites have generalized the lord in the flies syndrome so widely that there is little joy for me in the regalia any longer. Why spend a fortune on something only to have some faceless cyber twit denigrate it, when their own bona fides are never in question and no penalty accrues to them for their thuggish behavior?

Brave new world of ours, to be sure, and I never thought I would lose interest in all of this stuff. Others have not plainly, but others will never learn enough if the solid chaps here desert the cause and the sites are suffocated by cyber hoodlums and other miscreants.
