I will say only that the price was "on request". You see, the totenkopf badge originally adorned the cap of a member of the Prussian Lieb-Husaren.

Below for consideration is another one of my fine black wool visor caps. Note how the emblem is embroidered directly into the cap, as opposed to being held there by prongs.
