    I can see, who you could easily be mistaken. Only an expert will be able to tell the true origin, as the 1931 pattern is very close to the service cap of the LSDRSS. The crush cap look, piping and the melted looking eagle shows, that this indeed the LSDRSS and not the 1931....., so there

    Below for consideration is another one of my fine black wool visor caps. Note how the emblem is embroidered directly into the cap, as opposed to being held there by prongs.

    ahh the soxrunes so illusive and rare im am indebted to youfor being so gracious as to allow the item to risk the sensitivity of flash photography lest it should fade it dramatically
