Please Help! Allgemeine-SS Collar Tab Piping

Interesting thread...another problem we see from time to time is the confusion that occurs over the black and white piped Sturmabteilung collar tabs from the mid ‘30’s...we have a perfect example here right now in our classifieds where an SA tab is being sold as an early piped SS collar tab.

From the picture, one look at the litze that is being used for the rank is a dead giveaway that this is not SS..an honest enough mistake, but the price difference is profound between the two...

This tab is for an SA Obertruppfuhrer in one of Berlin-Brandenburg’s many Standartes.
