I think the first type is far more common , but both types ( symmetrical and non-symmetrical ) have surfaced in Dachau finds .
IMHO both are fine - the second one shown ( symmetrical version ) was indeed the design used postwar by Reisenhaft Enterprises ( commonly known now as " Delta " fakes ) , but they did not use the proper black cloth - as this one does seem to have ..
Here's an example of the cloth that they used for their fake tabs ;
not smooth , but a grouping of small " knots / dots " .
Do remember this type of cloth as typical fake , as their embroidery was not bad at all ( the thread colour differed , but that can get lost in pictures ) .
Thank you Winkelman, really saw only symmetrical Prinz Eugen collar tabs, so non-symmetrical raised doubts for me. How much this collar tab worth?
Prices are not always easy to give , but this is still a rather common one ( due to the Dachau finds ) , I'd say around $ 300,- ..
