Hello!
Need your help to identify this dog tag. I bought it сasually a month ago. But I'm not an expert on this topic. Is it real or fake?
It's made of zink.
Thank you.

This is a tough call. There are things that I like, and things that I dislike
I do like the font, especially the E in Eugen. I do not like the Waffen SS and i do not like the fact that it appears to be unworn.
these are easily faked, and it appears that the rust around it is "new"
Hope someone jumps in
Sorry, it is bad. The text (the way the unit designation is written) is incorrect.
Plus there was not a Mountain Regt of this number in the Prinz Eugen Div. A simple look at the unit's order of battle will show it is bad. Sorry.
Cheers, Ade.
Nice pics, but the tag is a fantasy. The Gebirgsjäger-Regiments of this Div were:
SS-Volunteer-Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 13 Artur Phleps
SS-Volunteer Gebrigsjäger-Regiment 14 Skanderbeg
No unit was numbered "1"
Cheers, Ade.
Ok... Thanks a lot!
Will try to return it...
I hope you get your money back! Good luck.
Dog tags are a real minefield.
Cheers, Ade.
