a piece of regalia awaiting its finder... where is this cap today?

A photo from the Fuehrerbunker once the US side reached same.

Whose cap? Why is the Hoheitszeichen gone? Did the owner take it?

Did the muzik Red Army man take it?

Since this site is oriented to the eastern front and the Soviet armies and nationalities of the age, maybe one of you has an insight?

Riddles in enigmas...

How many other caps were in a similar state of disrepair at said moment?

There is a very good DVD out "Inside Hitler's Bunker" for those who are interested in the personal possessions from Hitler and other dignitaries that where found inside the Führer Bunker...

Yes, they show how the Führer Bunker looks like these days. Then they go to the Russian archieves to film what the Russians found in the Bunker.

Hence my questions at the outset. I can tell you one thing, a lot of this stuff was there for the picking at the moment these images were made. Someone else should post images of the piles and piles of discarded regalia.

As there a lot of stuff was collected to the boxes- the eagle was not a such usesefull item. The colthes and own stuff was sent to the Moscow and Leningrad. And a lot of items is still is unreacheable in the FSB/KGB archives ( as a remains of Goebbels family and Hitler remains will be keept in archieves without the time limit and will be never burried too )

So a lot of items was displayed in the Moscow in the "exhibition of Victory", and later, before the stuff go to the museum, items was keept in the military stocks and a lot of them was theft by soldiers as souvenirs....
The same story about the cap on the picture, who knows who take the eagle off???
