    I appreciate all your opinions but I do believe it is a good one. It is a very salty example and a lot of the metal has been stripped from the thread, that along with the quality of the picture not being that good I can see how it could look not spot on. The embroidery is as tight as it can be. All the metal has been stripped off the pips exposing the unterlangen, but the embroidery of the oak leaves is so tight I am unable to check for an unterlagen.
    I am sending it to an authority on the subject for a hands on inspection.

    Thank you Arran, I am unable to lift the velvet enough to expose any white fabric.

    In hand examintaion is always more accurate than judgement from pictures. Good luck.
