This is not a collar tab. It is a sleeve raute for a member of the Sicherheitsdienst, the security branch of the SS.

The blank collar tab was also used by the SS-Oberabschnitte, the Reichsfuehrung SS, and some foreign volunteers, correct?

It was also used by the SS Hauptamt in the uniform I own for the Referent for Reiterei....
the blank collar patch is often mistaken solely as RFSS, as in the case of this uniform that I wish I had snagged.
