Sorry, no such luck. I will ask him again. We are all diverted by life in the 21st century.
There is no selfishness at all. This site works on the energy, time and good will of solid persons who receive no pay other than the pleasure in knowledge.

as noted. Big moments long ago in the Finckensteinallee in B'ln Lichterfelde. Today: the Bundesarchiv, long before part of the US Army
Berlin Brigade.
From the Hoffmann Hitler cigarette book, ca. 1936 or so.
This inspection of the Lichterfelde barracks was or was not in December1935, and if you look elsewhere at the images of this visit, many in grey uniform have no cuff title at all.
The persons in the command group, or those leading the inspection do have such badges. I am sure one of you knows this better.
The Heimdal picture books on the LAH often have numerous images of events, versus a single one.
