Although Bruce and I have been speaking lately, I feel someone who is a true friend of his should inform him of this discovery. I'd hate to see one of the few good dealers IMO image be soured over this.
Guys in the world of photo collecting we are now used to this type of thing , album strippers have been doing this for years ,destroying the personal history of individuals from the war generation !!
As has been said the individual sale of photos makes more than the album would have done if left whole and intact .

If I may sound a note of dissent in the midst of this digital outrage, why is the Wehrmacht Awards Forum a credible source here on this forum? Are we subordinate to them in some manner that operates here? I, myself, immediately assign little credence to many assertions made there and know that many of the officials here share my skepticism.
In the second piece, the mutilation of uniforms has been going on by collectors and dealers as long as I have collected, which is more or less forty seven years.
Does Bruce know?
