Hi Robin, it sounds like you are counting down the days? Good luck on your forthcoming life of leisure!
Once again, thanks for all the great items shown.
Cheers, Ade.
Thanks Ade.
I've been counting down for months now, and the light is at last at the end of the tunnel.
Have a great time at Beltring..................I won't make it this year.
Hi Robin, my trip to Beltring is only going to be for two days. Merely to socialise with friends and to do a bit of shopping. But if this wet weather continues, I may well cancel the trip, I don''t fancy a mud bath like last year. Our LH group is taking part at an event at Kelmarsh Hall for "The English Heritage Festival of History". This clashes with the Beltring weekend due to some bad planning on their part. But it is an important paying event for us.
Cheers, Ade.

Hello Paul.
Bet you are looking forward to retirement, too. The job's not the same as it was in 1978 ('Life on Mars' and all that!).
The commutation 'bonus' announced the other week came at just the right time!
Robin,
As you are well known for your vast collection, ... is there one item that you personally view as "your centre piece" ??
G.
Indeed Robin your are exactly right i am looking forward to it very much , must admit i feel like a Life on Mars man lost in the modern day !!! Joined in 81 so i can remember what it was like when we did the right thing for the right reasons !!
The commutation bonus is very welcome i wasn't expecting it , it helped make my mind up that i was definately going to finish.
I hope to see more of your excellent books now you'll have a lot more time on your hands ??
regards
Paul
As an outsider to this very important discussion (which portends more books from Robin Lumsden for his eager readership), what does the reference to "Man from Mars" mean to a layperson?
