You've got a good eye Mike, thanks for bringing the great old threads back! Ade you're killing me with the prices from 1980. Now a stupid question. Does the L mean pounds sterling? So today that would mean about $32 US?

Hi Jay, yes the £ sign is Pounds Sterling, and it does work out at about that much today.

I know it is fun to compare prices, but things are relative. When I started work at aged 16, my first wage packet was £20 a week. And I spent £10 of it on a Luftwaffe Einheitsfeldmutze (Still have it!). Most combat badges were £16 then too. I built a lot of my collection back then.

    Cheers, Ade.
