SS Black wrap arounds

Look close, these are GI's with TERRIFIC trophies! Too much wishing for time travel !! They are at the 6:42 minute mark in the video!

Anyone know what unit they were captured from (ie, the tunics?)
I wonder if they were taken off the Pz men when they were captured, or found in storage somewhere.....

Given that the jackets all bear rank insignia I would say they did not come out of unit QM stores, but were taken from POW's. I have tried to make out the wording on the cuff titles, it might be "Das Reich" but that I cannot be sure about.

I would lean towards taken off of POW's. There are no badges. No Panzer badge, No EKI, no wound badge. These guys were SS and the hardware went into some GI's pocket. Easier to carry than 3 tunics.

I think they are probably from Das Reich or GvB captured in the4 Cotentin peninsula.

Another possibility is the tunics were found in stored baggage. I know of a LSSAH officer's tunic that was discovered in this manner in Normandy.

Could be a possibilty Bob they do look to be in good condition so may not be combat uniforms.
