I think i would have thrown her in the washer after that, and let her see how it feels.

me too but i dont like her either, and i understand your uncle, i guss he paid good mony for his tunic an now its ust rubbish, things like this happent all the time i guess but thats life, and even if this tunic is fresh washd i still have a good feeling on this one and start allready to love it (it needs love after the torture)

He gave it to me to fix it for him, i was able to repair the seams, and the boards were to far gone, If i remember correct, it was an INFANTRY OBERSTLEUTNANT type tunic, i was able to sew in replacement original shoulder boards.

I was able to fix it for him, but he still wasn't happy, as it was an un-touched original tunic.


I think she made the statement to him, " LOOK, I WAS ABLE TO TAKE OUT SOME OF THE SWEAT STAINS " that really made him lose his cool.

I was thinking the same thing, Brian !

Washing machines and dryers are hell on uniforms, especially the buttons.
It will wear the finish off and cause them to rust - like what has
happened here - although they now look 70 years old !
Never mind the fact that cotton and wool fabrics
will shrink quite a lot !

If it is indeed a repro, the buttons can be replaced with
new feldgrau copies !

I think someone has said - 'If it is advertised for re-enactors or as a copy,
it can be called a 'Reproduction', but if it were advertised as an original
to decieve, then the term would be 'Fake' !

the washing action is 2 days ago and i dont think rust is so fast, ther is even a rust hole in the tunic

I think it is fake. Colour and stamp are not correct and why are all buttons rusty however chop at the collar not?

Outright fake even the on non HBT examples the colours are not like this, here's my example
