Re: SS Cavalry or signals shoulder board
Sorry, I don't like the piping or the buttonholes. Pass on it.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: SS Cavalry or signals shoulder board
Looks promising to me my friend but more up close pictures may be needed to tell for sure. I posted some late war ones in an earlier thread that I own. The way I am able to tell through pictures is through the detail in the construction and from viewing past threads of authentic pieces. Good luck and you should have a few more opinioins soon. I see Ade has spoken as well and you should def listen to him over me in this case.
Regards
Jeff

I agree with what Ade and Dimas have stated. These straps are not original.

Re: SS Cavalry or signals shoulder board
When i posted these pics, i had already purchased the shoulder board, the dealer said he would refund my money if i was not happy or convinced. My Father-In-Law has been a collector for 42 yrs, i am going to have him look at them in a few days, but i am guessing that he will come to the same conclusion as did Ade and everyone else...... i can only hope that there is a slight chance that it is real. Glad i can get my money back!

not like the late-war ones I've had, and there's a consistency even in late days. baddies. sorry.

Re: SS Cavalry or signals shoulder board
Absolutely NOT WWII German.
Ade nailed it on the head piping material nothing like any type of war time German production. Button holes have bars at both ends. Again nothing even remotely similar to any war time production. Sorry.
