The wing span determines if it is for a "Command Flag" these posted examples look rather small .
The difference is the dome shaped head...The original is a sleek and better shaped head.
Compare the 2.
The size would IMHO depend on the command level - here is the relatively small version ( 13 cm. flatwire ) on a lowly " Sturmbann " command pennant .
Having spent too much time outside of its protective cover , time has not been kind to it .
1st Sturmbann of 69th Standarte would have been located in Hagen ..
