Re: SS cuff titles - good or bad?
The price quoted to you for the pair is really market value. So no great bargain or anything like that.
The Collectors Guild has a green one for $600: numbered titles are around $800.

Re: SS cuff titles - good or bad?
Thanks guys, you´ve been very helpful. I think I am going to buy them!

Re: SS cuff titles - good or bad?
Good luck.
I should add that the green titles used to be very low priced for years. Not that many people really wanted them. Of course, times have changed and like all SS insignia, the price has risen.
I am sure they will both give you a lot of pleasure in the years to come and also prove to be a sound investment.
Cheers, Ade.

Re: SS cuff titles - good or bad?
As Ade suggests, I would visit The Collector's Guild and research all of their offerings before spending any money. Pete Whamond, the proprietor of this site, is one of the most respected dealers in the trade.

Question regarding SS Cuff titles
Little Mermaid
The Ost Turk bevo cuff band is about 100 more than you should pay for it and it's not very collectable or sellable as just about every dealer has one...You will struggle to move it on or get your money back...
The Allgemeine SS Cuff bands are worth buying and collecting.
I would recommend that you buy 2 SS numbered bands...
I can get you a
# 3 Nurnburg - 600
# 7 Plauen - 600
# 11 Wien - 600
Please note the #3 band is the rarest and most collectable out of these 3.

Little Mermaid hasn't been active here in 5 years.. Any day now though....
I'd rather be A "RaD Man than a Mad Man "

Furthermore, Charlie, you're treating the numbered Sturm bands as though they have something to do with the numbers of the Standarten, which they DO NOT! So the number "3" band has NOTHING to do with Nurnberg, and the other numbered bands have NOTHING to do with the cities you mentioned. EACH Standarte, or "city", would have had SS members wearing these numbered cuff titles, and only the numeral on the collar tab was related to the location. A rare exception is the band you use as your avatar, which would indeed have been worn by a staff member, or the Standartenfuhrer himself, of Standarten 72 (Detmold). These days, I see numbered cuff titles for as little as $200...there are lots of them...
