SS Germanic Proficiency Badge (Germanische Leistungsrune) - Opinions?
I recently stumbled across an SS Germanic Proficiency Badge that looks pretty convincing to me... It seems to have the proper mounting system for the runes, and the angles of the sun wheel ends look right. There are no maker's marks on the backside, which is a good sign, and it has that characteristic convex shape. However, I've never seen one with such a thin catch for the clasp. What do you guys think? Is this an authentic piece?
I believe there is a thread with an original posted , somewhere on the forum . Good luck , hope it is a good one , I know its a rare beast .

Am fairly certain said item is an old stinker from my youth. Commonly seen in the 1970s.

That's a shame... I've seen a number of fakes, and this was by far the most convincing. It wasn't an item I was thinking of purchasing -- I was merely curious. Thanks, guys!
