I wish these women were in my class.
Thank you so much for your help and dokumentation fb. I have searched alot online and i have reached the conclusion that Ss do have French cuffs also.
But as for the Wehrmacht they always have French cuffs so how could this be a wh one. I also visited Wehrmacht awards forum, but sadly I found no photos of a m36 great coat, but I did see some with same type of collar stitching underneath.
I believe that the great coat is not wh and not repro, but what then if not Ss?
Hopefully someone will in time share photos of a m36 Ss great coat.
Again FB thank you so much for your time and help
Regards Thomas
And nice cadets😊
Here some greatcoat-figures to compare from old official documentation:
First Allgemeine SS from a plate from the Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) from mid-1935 about NSDAP uniforms,
also shown the reverse. Note the quite long cuffs:
Allgemeine-SS 1938 from a big plate from with NSDAP-uniforms "Symbole, Uniformen etc. der Gliederungen der NSDAP"
and from the 1938 "Herstellungsvorschriften" (manufacturing-regulation):
From the same 1938-plate, Marine-SA:
From a 1936 uniform-plate from TeNo "Dienstkleidung der Technischen Nothilfe":
From an August 1940 uniform-plate for the Waffen-SS ("Uniformen der Waffen-SS"):
From a uniform-plate for the army, "Die Uniform des deutschen Heeres" from August 1936:
Look at the flaps for the pockets and compare with post 1
Wilhelm you are right about the flaps! Anyway it looks like They have the same problem at wehrmacht Awards: greatcoat/mantel opinions - Page 3 - Wehrmacht-Awards.com Militaria Forums It seems there are more examples than mine, and They could be reworked for germany.
