Take a peek at the attached stills, shows SS personnel in Heer splinter camo, i think, how common was this?

It is actually captured Italian camo material. The LAH took stocks of this in Italy in 1943. Popular with the LAH and HJ Divs. Made up at unit level into a variety of overalls, jackets and caps.
Cheers, Ade.
Great to see the EK2 in wear !!!

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

A good friend of mine who I ask for a lot of help always used to say, "there is no such thing as uniform". These guys used what was available and what worked best. I remember the picture of Otto Kumm in his SS uniform with an Army Eagle on the sleeve. Its what he had, high ranking officer or not.
BUT! If one of these items came into a militaria show everyone would cry fake, wouldn't they? I wonder how much "good" stuff has been written off this way.
