I believe it, too, is a cast fake. Sorry.

as concerns alu insignia Fa Deschler, here is one on a cap, as it should be....the cap was made in 1939.

For those fixated on "matching" insignia, these are the original cap badges, and the Hoheitszeichen is an M1/8 oe M1 72 and made of different Werkstoff than the Totenschaedel. I own two caps like this with identical un-"matching" insignia...but both with alu Deschler badges. The caps were made in the era '38-'39......

The eagle is known as the pigeon style fake.

This style of eagle never existed as originals, so It's a fantasy-piece..
Look at those originals, do you see and 'feel' the differences?

The eagle beginning of the thread is a very poor cast repro that is even not cleaned out well.

    both fakes...
Sorry but I have to drop a veto here. The jawless skull is original. It is the Hussar-style pattern. The prongs are with little saw-teeth ( not my language, but I hope you can imagine what I mean;-)

the little-saw prongs are also used on fakes.
look at this one, it's the very same that the one posted, and is sold as fake for 18euro
    you'll find it everywhere.

But i dont think i agree about the early skull.
I dont think it all look the same as the last post.
The sprongs are longer, more teeth etc.
    My thoughts only.
    Best regards:
    Michael

Here is a link to a Thread in the WAF about this variant of jawless skull (and nearly every other variant):

The skull you posted is exactly the same pattern and I believe it is also from the "Berlin hoard".
