I have been shown this SS armband for sale but I am not wholly convinced by the construction of it and deemed it best to get a second opinion - what do you think please.

difficult to judge, I know top good copys.
I go only for the textbook examples where the white circle is more oval and the white line material is more silky.
Of course wool based material is also used as well machine embroidered swastikas and different styles where used.
