this is a very good copy of the original arm band i had to magnify to take a closer look, the way to tell it is a copy is in the second world war these were rapidly turned out in mass production for the SS soldiers the edges are too straight and the stitching is too uniform this was done on an electric sewing machine and not one which would have been used in the 40's and the edges are too neat for it to be an item that is over 70 years old also the swastika was always done in one piece of material and not stitched in a way as in your photo where it is clearly been cut and sewn in 4 pieces i have many of these in my collection from 1939-1942 and when you compare it side by side to an original one you can then clearly see the difference so sorry to burst your bubble that this is an original WW2 German armband

Cheers guys... I think it might be worth a chance at 40 euro...

    Danke, Glen.
that price to me is a big red flag as it is so under market value. I agree with Robert H that this could be one of the top line fakes.

    Hi all,

I appreciate you additional comments and I am yet to part with any money.

A low price is not always a red flag - I have brought higher valued items with less money.

    Thank you, Glen.

I have deleted a post regarding buying this piece. Threads are not the place for bartering. It is against forum rules. Buy and sell can be done by PM or placing in the For Sale Forum.

As have many of us over the years. With an SS item, it certainly should be a red flag.
