A thousand years from now they'll be like the Elgin Marbles.
A lasting reminder of an evil empire.

We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.

In memory of Capt. Robert Falcon Scott, Edward Wilson, Henry Bowers, Lawrence Oates and Edgar Evans. South Pole Expedition, 30th March 1912.
Dimas, did the heads come from the front gate to the old SS Barracks in Berlin? I understood that they were encased in cement when the Americans took them over after the war. I was stationed there (Andrews Barracks) from 1965-67. I've always wondered if it was true. Thanks for posting, John
Here's the gates to Andrews today. The gate posts appear to be concreted over as John says.

Dimas-
Where were the heads found? Are they now in a museum of private ownership?

LIFE'S LOSERS NEVER LEARN FROM THE ERROR OF THEIR WAYS.
The Kaserne in the Finckensteinallee in Berlin Lichterfelde, which originally was the Prussian cadet school before its being home to the Leibstandarte, is today site of the Bundesarchiv. The storied US Army Berlin Brigade left this locale in the course of the early 1990s, if not earlier. The principal former NS real estate still in US hands ( a Luftwaffe HQ conmplex) in Berlin is the former Berlin Brigade HQ in Dahlem, which is today home to part of the US Embassy staff.
They are for sale at 50000 USD I think , please followw the enclosed link
