I saw metallic edelweiss 50e for sale. Do you think it would have been a good deal? I'm pretty sure it was original.

Impossible to say without pics. But it sounds expensive to me? It would have been Heer as the SS did not wear metal versions.

Around 30 - 35 Euros I would say. Ades right it wont be SS

I have only seen cloth Edelweiss.

Certainly, but supply SS Kampfgruppe Nord, later division SS Nord always was disgusting. There were neighbours from 7 Gebirgsdivision and 139 GJR which shared distinctions
