Backing material, outline stitching, bullion wire composition, shape of the swastika and wreath...the eye detailing, the cross stitching on the chest....I like it.

all the things wagriff has said.
Hello Jeff. My eagle still has the backing material so it is hard to tell anything about the construction. It sound like the bird has gotten thumbs up before and now people are questioning it. I wouldn't worry about it unless you respect the opinion of those questioning the eagle. I don't post on the SS forum on WAF very often. I like to check out what threads someone has started to see if they even own any militaria. I posted a helmet one time and some JO started bad mouthing it. I pulled up his old threads and he had posted at least a dozen SS hats for opinions and none of them were original.
Thanks guys, I am going to be keeping this one I think. I will be doing a few more tests on the material and going ahead and trying the black light for grins. I will get back with yall on how my tests go. For now once again thank you all for your responses!
Jeff
The first eagle posted is a very fine specimen nothing to say to It.
looks great
looks great !!
I specialize in M1 carbines and Lugers.
I had some time to take some better pictures of the eagle. I thought this may or may not change some opinions or help some.

Hi Jeff, sorry but personally, I don't like it.
The thread used and the shape of some of the details don't match to what I would look for.
Compare to my old one shown on the forum. Note the fat swastika and three types of bullion thread used in it's construction.
