    Hi Milan, I am certain these are 1980's fakes. I used to have a similar oranged piped pair.

    I have same opinion, on first look and in my hands, I have bad feeling. No smell, every old items has smell.

    If that is the fakes, then it's a very nice fakes. What is not usual is a black underlined material, but I like what I can see from that pictures, ( really I don't know nothing about the 1980's fakes and never learned them)

    yes new nice fakes , but nothing for me

    Trust me, and Ade they are fakes, i recognise the persons "traits" If I'm not mistaken they are real boards, but started life as Luftwaffe ones ............. If you get my drift

    Hi John, actually I don't think these are that Englishman's products.

    These first started turning up at shows in Germany in the 1980's or so I am told by Woody. It ties into when I bought mine too but here in the UK. I think they are German made. Some had bogus white ink "RB" numbers on them, which were a dead giveaway. So later productions did away with this. The ink would also wash out.

    Things to look at are the piping and button holes. In hand the black wool material is nice quality and soft to the touch. I owned mine for over 20 years and I thought they are OK all that time. I actually sold them back to the guy I bought them off: he still thought they were good. But I sold them as fakes.
