I think you are right in that it is a fantasy pice, and the finish and the details is not good.

That gray patch has a VERY odd skull, doesn't it? And isn't Kommando spelled with 2 m's? Have you seen my Sniper patch listed elsewhere? It is listed under "Heer uniforms, etc." I am wondering about that, too! It seems ok, but I am unsure. ALL of the bogus Sniper patches I have seen are oval, not square.

Yes Kommando does have two "m"'s the armband is a fake a sis the pin badge and the cap insignia.

The pin is a fantasy one, the other insignia also is not good I'm afraid. The eagle tries to be a late war hammer head, but appears to be a penguin in distress, the trap also is not good sorry
