I have found next to nothing in the RZM circulars as concerns SS cap insignia save for prices; that is, the things about which collectors speculate and assign such value, appear no where in the primary sources.....at least that I can find.

Maybe one of the "scull" experts will share their primary research with us here? That is, their own reading of the primary German sources?

By the way, this style of Trikot peaked cap became the norm for the SS in the course of late 1935 and into 1936....This cap here is ca. 1938 or so, and is sadly denuded of its badges. The SS price list ca. late 1934, details on cap insignia, or "dead heads and more...."The SS price list ca. late 1934, details on cap insignia, or "dead heads and more...."
