The construction is very troubling. It looks extremely crudely cast-both inside and out. It's almost as if someone who didn't know how to work with metals tried to make a cast copy of a ring they may have gotten. They would not have sold these roughly made rings to the troops in the cantines. Bulgaria has been making fake rings now for some time and this certainly looks to be one of them.

I suppose it could be anything given the fact that there is little evidence to prove anything with great certainty.
