SS Standard or baton ????

Article about: I was told this was carried by a member of the Wiking division as a baton. It looks to me as though it was (or once was) part of a standard - I just don't know.

Never seen this style before. But I kind of like the look of it. The insignia appears to be period.

    Cheers, Ade.

The DRGM mark is something that you would see on musical instruments of the period, trumpets for example, which might add some legitimacy to it, I think.
