Never seen this style before. But I kind of like the look of it. The insignia appears to be period.

The DRGM mark is something that you would see on musical instruments of the period, trumpets for example, which might add some legitimacy to it, I think.
DRGM stands for Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster
So, "approved for use in the German Reich"?
